You may have heard that Pilates can work wonders for body and mind - but is it really that good?

Many of my clients have shared how my classes have helped improve their overall body strength. They have said that it serves as therapy for the body, allowing them to slow down, focus on their breathing, and reduce aches and pains. They feel more relaxed and fitter after each session, appreciating its low intensity yet effective nature.

Pilates classes can help improve core strength, muscle tone, posture, joint mobility and overall flexibility. It is a fantastic low impact but challenging form of exercise, offering a more mindful approach to movement.

With more than 10 years teaching Pilates in and around Whitley Bay, I have experience working with people with a range of issues, including:

  • Arthritis (especially in knees, shoulders, wrists)

  • Lower back pain

  • Sciatica

  • Hypermobility-related problems

  • Low core strength and muscle weakness

As well as group classes I work with individuals and am trained to teach throughout pregnancy and post natally.

My Classes

Pilates classes which focus on strengthening your body as a whole. We will work on improving your balance, mobilising your joints and learning how to control your body in order to make your movements more effective and efficient.  Learning good posture and technique and how to form good habits when moving. Optional challenges are offered during class to encourage you to progress your abilities and build on your strength.
