You may have heard that Pilates can work wonders for body and mind - but is it really that good?

I asked my clients what they love about it and this is what they said:

  • Core strength has improved massively

  • It's therapy for the body when you slow down and focus on breathing

  • It reduces aches & pains

  • It is relaxing and you feel so much fitter after doing it

  • It's low intensity and effective

Pilates improves core strength, muscle tone, posture, joint mobility and overall flexibility. It is a fantastic low impact but challenging form of exercise. Pilates offers a mindful approach to movement that can help us feel more relaxed and less stressed.


I want to help you feel strong

It's true, I really do. I'm not talking about bulking muscles and ripped abs here.

I'm talking about that CORE strength that so many of us strive for. Why do we want it? Perhaps for a healthy back, better balance, improved performance for running and so forth. Let's face it - a good sturdy core makes it easier to do so many everyday activities.​​ 

My Experience

With almost 9 years working in Whitley Bay in the Pilates business I have experience working with people with a range of issues, including:

  • Arthritis (especially osteoarthritis and in knees, shoulders, wrists)

  • Lower back pain

  • Sciatica

  • Hypermobility-related problems

  • Low core strength and muscle weakness


I just love these classes as I always leave with such a positive outlook and an idea that I am growing stronger physically and mentally by attending. The sessions are enjoyable with some good humour and always give that bit of achievable challenge - adapted for each person. It's a fitness class I really look forward to attending and magically even after just a couple of classes I could totally feel the difference in my body even though at the time there was no grunting or groaning going on!
